Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Showtime LED collects when you use this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It covers this site only. It does not cover the separate agreements you sign when you actually rent equipment from us.
What you give us directly
The quote form is the only place on this site where you type personal information. When you submit it, we collect:
- Your name, email address, and phone number.
- How you would prefer we reply — text, call, or email.
- What you told us about your event, and which screen or service you indicated you were interested in.
We use this to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and follow up. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with advertisers.
Submitting the form does two things at once: it stores your enquiry in our database so it does not get lost, and it emails it to our team so we actually see it. Both copies persist until we no longer need them for the enquiry and our business records.
What we collect automatically
Alongside your enquiry we record which page you were on when you submitted it and, where your browser provides one, the site that referred you. This tells us which parts of the site are useful. It is stored with the enquiry itself, not as a separate profile of you.
To stop the quote form being abused, we briefly record the IP address each submission came from and count how many arrived recently. These records are kept for 24 hours and then deleted automatically. They are used only for rate limiting.
The form also carries a hidden field that real visitors never see or fill in. If it comes back filled, we flag the submission as likely spam.
Analytics, session recording, and cookies
We use Vercel Analytics for aggregate traffic counts. It sets no cookies and builds no profile of you.
We also use Microsoft Clarity, and this one is worth reading carefully, because it does more than count visits. Clarity records a playback of your visit — the pages you view, how you move and scroll, what you click, and how long you spend on particular sections — and combines many visits into heatmaps. We use this to work out which parts of the site are confusing or ignored.
Clarity sets first-party cookies named _clck and _clsk so it can recognise a returning visit within a session. Text typed into form fields is masked in these recordings. Your information is handled under the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
The live chat widget in the corner of the site is provided by Tawk.to. If you open it and send a message, that conversation and anything you type into it is handled by Tawk.to under their privacy policy as well as this one.
Some pages embed videos from YouTube. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced embeds, which do not set tracking cookies unless you actually play the video.
We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not use Google Analytics or similar ad-tech on this site.
Your choices
You can opt out of session recording and analytics by turning on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser, or by blocking cookies for this site. Nothing else stops working if you do — you can still browse, read specs, and submit a quote request.
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@showtimeled.com and we will handle it. If you ask us to delete an enquiry we may keep the minimum needed for our own accounting and legal records.
Who else sees your information
We use a small number of service providers to run this site, and your information passes through them only so the site can function:
- Vercel — hosting and aggregate analytics.
- Neon — the database that stores quote enquiries.
- Resend — delivers quote enquiries to our inbox by email.
- Microsoft Clarity — session replay and heatmaps.
- Tawk.to — the live chat widget.
Beyond these, we share information only where we are legally required to.
Children
This site is aimed at people booking event equipment and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or which services we use, we will update this page and the date at the top. Substantive changes are worth re-reading rather than assuming this page still says what it did.
